1. VISTA Volunteers

Eastern Connecticut State University is seeking two VISTA volunteers to
manage community service opportunities for students and assist in the
coordination of the American Democracy Volunteer Project. This is a full
time paid volunteer position and requires a one-year commitment,
starting October 17, 2005. Qualifications include:  An earned Bachelor's
degree; experience working with college students to promote civic
engagement and leadership development; ability to collaborate with many
constituencies, including community partners, faculty, staff, and
students. Must be able to work independently and have excellent
organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience
using Microsoft Office, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel, and other related
software is also required.

2. Teacher Assistants

The Child and Family Development Resource Center at Eastern Connecticut
State University is seeking talented early childhood Teacher Assistants.
Teacher Assistants will participate in building and modeling a program
that exemplifies high standards in teaching, planning, curriculum, and
assessment for 90 children from infancy to four years of age, the early
childhood teacher preparation program at Eastern, and the professional
development needs of the early care and education field in Connecticut.
Successful candidates will possess an associate's degree in child
development or related field and one to two years successful experience
