The Office of Institutional Advancement (IA) at Eastern Connecticut
State University is currently looking to fill two key positions in the
department.
 
The Associate Director of Alumni Affairs coordinates all aspects of
event planning for alumni on campus, in-state and out-of-state.  The
Associate Director assists the Director in identifying, recruiting,
cultivating, and training alumni in support of alumni affinity programs,
alumni receptions, and other alumni activities that are best suited for
individual geographies and constituencies.  The Associate Director
conducts both queries and prospect research and cultivates alumni
volunteers for development follow-up. Compose and edit alumni news and
event materials and coordinate and prepare mailings to support events
and promote alumni programs. Perform other duties as assigned 

Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred.  3-5 years of
progressive, hands-on experience in development and/or alumni affairs.
Experience in higher education preferred. Excellent communication skills
required. Strong organization abilities and attention to detail.
Knowledge of software applications used in advancement. Evening and
weekend availability for special events and meetings. Travel both in and
out of state as necessary to meet the responsibilities of the position.
The above qualifications may be waived for persons with appropriate
alternate experience.

The IA User Support Specialist will provide ongoing coordination and
technical support for the Alumni Affairs and Development offices using
the SCT Banner software.  A key component of this position is to provide
hands on support, including data entry and report writing as well as
oversight for the Wealth Engine prospect identification module.

Bachelor's degree required in a field appropriate to information
technology.  Proficiency with computer systems in higher education
required, preferably in alumni affairs and/or development.  Must be able
to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment w/ IA staff
and other members of the university and external communities.
