Salary Grade CL-16 / $17.75 per hour

Job Description: Considerable knowledge of office systems and
procedures; considerable knowledge of proper grammar, punctuation and
spelling; knowledge of business communications; knowledge of
department's/unit's policies and procedures; some knowledge of business
math; interpersonal skills; ability to schedule and prioritize office
workflow; ability to operate office equipment which may include word
processors, computer terminals or other automated equipment; ability to
take notes (shorthand, speedwriting or other method acceptable to the
supervisor); ability to type at a net speed of 50 wpm.
Members of the Administrative Clerical Bargaining Unit (NP-3) who meet
the following criteria may apply:
* You are on the current examination certification list for
Secretary 2; or
* You are currently, or have previously attained permanent status,
as a Secretary 2 and would like a lateral transfer.

2. Police Officer
Eastern Connecticut State University
Eastern Connecticut State University Police Department has a vacancy for
Police Officer. Officers are responsible for the protection of life and
property, as well as the enforcement of the Connecticut General
Statutes, on the grounds of Eastern Connecticut State University,
Willimantic, Connecticut. These are full-time, permanent positions.
Duties include: responding to emergencies and requests for assistance;
conducting criminal investigations; applying for arrest and search
warrants; enforcing motor vehicle and criminal statutes; effecting
criminal arrests; issuing parking tickets, motor vehicle infractions and
summonses; completing arrest paperwork; transporting prisoners to
lockup; testifying in court; speaking with groups of the public;
performing dispatching duties at communications desk; monitoring video
and perimeter alarm systems; performing property checks and all
associated duties; providing public direction at events and in the
course of daily patrol, traffic direction; providing escorts for
currency deposits, periodic patrols in a police cruiser and on foot.
Must be available to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shifts. Applicants must be on
a current Protective Services trainee certification list or Connecticut
POST certified officer. Currently certified police officers are also

3. Health Services Coordinator/Nurse
Child and Family Development Resource Center
The health services coordinator/nurse will support the Child and Family
Development Resource Center at Eastern Connecticut State University with
resources to parents and teachers on child development and safety,
nutrition and health issues. The health services coordinator/nurse will
provide guidance in development of health and medication policies,
training in medication administration, and screening for health and
safety issues for individual children, families, and the Center
environment. The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree
in nursing, and a current Connecticut State registration. Experience as
a school nurse or within a pediatrician's office and the ability to
provide training and resources on child health, nutrition and wellness
issues is preferred. Position is 8-10 hours per week.
