Pre-school Teachers

The Child and Family Development Resource Center at Eastern Connecticut State University is seeking talented early childhood teachers for full-time employment.  The Center features a model child development program as well as comprehensive family services.  The Center is housed in a state-of-the-art facility, providing an outstanding working environment.  The program will serve 90 children from infancy to five years of age.  Additionally, the Center will provide service to candidates enrolled in the early childhood teacher preparation program at Eastern, as well as providing for the professional development needs of those individuals working in the early care and education field in Connecticut.

Teachers will participate in building and modeling a program that exemplifies high standards in teaching, planning, curriculum, and assessment.  Teachers will also have the opportunity to collaborate with University and Center faculty and students in examining and articulating theory into practice.

Successful candidates will possess a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field and at least two to four years successful experience working with young children.  Master's degree in early childhood education and early childhood teacher certification preferred.

Desktop Support Specialist
(2 Positions Available)

Eastern Connecticut State University's Information Technology Services Department is seeking 2 qualified individuals to join our desktop support team. The team is responsible for diagnosis and resolution of desktop hardware and software problems; configuration and installation of Windows and Macintosh computers and printers in a networked environment. Both positions are part-time University Assistant positions at 19 hours per week.
 
Qualifications: A working knowledge of PC and Macintosh hardware and software is required. Experience supporting microcomputers in a networked environment is desirable, including Windows 2000/XP, Macintosh operating systems, Internet Explorer, the Microsoft Office XP suite and network concepts and protocols.
