Director of Financial Aid and Veterans Affairs

Eastern Connecticut State University, Connecticut's public liberal arts
university, seeks a creative, experienced and highly motivated
professional to manage and lead all aspects of university student
financial aid and veterans affairs programs.  As a member of the
Division of Academic Affairs, the Director of Financial Aid and Veterans
Affairs will provide the overall leadership and strategic vision for the
Financial Aid Office.  Responsibilities include daily operations
oversight and staff supervision, ensuring federal, state and
institutional aid policy and regulation compliance, and developing
guidelines and procedures to best meet the needs of the University and
its students.  Working as a key member of the enrollment management
leadership team, the Director will develop innovative strategies to
achieve institutional goals, advance the use of technology and
collaborate with internal and external constitutencies to best serve
students.

Qualifications:  A master's degree and a minimum of five years
experience in university administration with three years direct
experience in financial aid is required.  The successful candidate will
have demonstrated ability to formulate and implement relevant policy and
motivate and supervisor staff.  Experience with administering veterans'
assistance programs and SunGuard HE Banner ERP is preferred.

Under the supervision of the Vice President for Student Affairs or his
designee the Coordinator of the Women's Center:

Provides leadership in developing programs and services that promote the
academic, personal, and professional achievement of women students and
community members, manages the operation of the Center and oversees
Center activities, and increases awareness and understanding on women's
concerns and gender equity issues. The coordinator may also teach in the
Women's Studies Minor degree program.

Qualifications: A Master's Degree in women's studies, counseling,
student development, higher education administration or a related field
is required. Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of issues
significant to women in diverse communities, knowledge of laws related
to women's issues and expertise in the theory and practice of college
student development are expected, preferably with three years of
administrative and program development experience in higher education.

Under the supervision of the Vice President for Student Affairs or his
designee the Coordinator of the Intercultural Center:

Provides leadership in developing programs and services that support and
retain multicultural and international student populations, manages the
national Student Exchange program, serves as the Designated School
Official for international students including, but not limited to
maintaining SEVIS system to track immigration paperwork and all
paperwork related to issuance of I-20 and IAP-66, and coordinates the
development and implementation of educational, cultural and social
programs that enhance an understanding of diversity,

Qualifications: A Master's Degree in student personnel, counseling,
higher education administration or a related field related to
multicultural and international student administration is required.
Candidates must have demonstrated experience and knowledge of INS
requirements and procedures for individuals on student visas along with
preferably with three to five years of administrative and program
development experience in higher education.
